When everyone else is perturbed by the current downturn in the industry, Suzuki is enjoying its scooter sales. It is the only manufacturer which registered whopping sales increase of 33.4 percent in last financial year; most of which can be attributed to its scooters.
After the discontinuation of 110cc Lets, Suzuki currently sells Access in the entry segment and the flamboyant Burgman Street in the premium segment – both in the 125cc space. Despite its hefty price tag Burgman contributed over 72,000 units last fiscal and it is stable at over 6000 monthly units in the first two months of this financial year. For reference, this is higher than the numbers accumulated by much lesser priced scooters like Aviator, Duet, Cliq, Wego etc. Even in the premium space, Burgman is selling higher numbers than all Aprilia + Vespa scooters combined!
To continue the momentum, Suzuki is refreshing the lineup with the addition of a new matte black colour in the palette. These exclusive pics have been sent to us by one of our source. Currently, Burgman Street is available in three colours – Metallic Matt Fibroin Grey, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White.
