Latest 2019 Gixxer spy pics reveal the motorcycle in total – It looks muscular and gets at least six changes which are mentioned in the story…
Very recently Suzuki launched the new 2019 Gixxer SF along with debuting the Gixxer SF 250. Both of them share their looks and a lot of hardware. A very similar strategy is expected for the streetfighter range. BikeAdvice has already shared the first exclusive spy pics of the naked Gixxer 250 (also appended at the end of this story) and spyshots of its 150cc sibling have started to surface. Pics posted here credit Rushlane & the recent one (in blue) by Indianautosblog.
This is NOT the Gixxer 250 as can be ascertained by the crankcase cover, alloy wheels, disc brakes etc. This motorcycle in the pics doesn’t have reinforced pattern at the end of the front suspension either (which is present on the Gixxer SF 250). Based on the spy pics of the Gixxer 250 we shared earlier, we also know that those tank extensions will flaunt the ‘250’ tag which is missing on these spy pics. So yes, this is the 2019 Gixxer 150!

2019 Gixxer – What is New?
Here is what we can notice..
- New Gixxer gets chiselled and muscular looking body with a sportier fuel tank.
- It also gets a new pattern headlamp which must be an all LED unit.
- Split seats in place of a single unit
- Doesn’t have a kick starter
- New bigger tank extensions
- Exposed instrument cluster. The older Gixxer comes with a small visor over the headlamp which this new Gixxer has dumped.
This 2019 Gixxer will also get the new instrument cluster from the SF150. It will continue to be powered by the same 154.9 cc single cylinder air cooled SOHC engine of the SF which produces 14.1 PS of peak power at 8000 rpm (the current Gixxer churns out 14.8 PS of power) and 14 Nm of max torque at 6000 rpm. Chances are that Suzuki may ditch the carburetted version completely and MAY offer the motorcycle only with fuel injection.
The current Gixxer has been priced at Rs 88,941 ex-showroom with standard single channel ABS and the upcoming model will cost a few thousand more. Launch, as we see, should be in the coming few week/months.
