Suzuki Burgman Street MotoGP Unveiled: Launch or Not – You Decide [AE2020]

BS6 compliant Burgman Street MotoGP launch will be based on ‘customer feedback’ as Suzuki puts it. But we want it as a 150cc…

Along with its standard products, Suzuki also unveiled MotoGP edition of its Burgman Street maxi-scooter, surprisingly as a ‘concept’! It says that the scooter in this special livery will be launched based on customer feedback.

The MotoGP baby Burgman is expected to continue with the same new Bharat Stage 6 compliant engine from the standard model, which now gets fuel injection and produces 8.7 PS of peak power at 6750 rpm and 10 Nm of max torque at 5500 rpm. This is 0.2 Nm lesser than the BS4 model. There is also an increment of 2 kilogram of weight and the scoot also sees a very minor drop of 0.1 liter of fuel tank capacity.

The integrated engine start stop switch which is a new inclusion in the family, also goes to the Burgman Street MotoGP. The regular Burgman Street has also received a new red colour which looks sporty. You can check its pics here.

2020 Yamaha Ray ZR 125 & Street Rally 125 BS6: Prices Announced

Suzuki will launch the standard Burgman Street BS6 sometime very soon at an expected price of around Rs 80,000. Which means that the Burgman MotoGP will be costlier than this. However, if Suzuki is listening, we suggest it to introduce it as a 150cc scooter to, kind of, justify the ‘racing’ tag (since it will have more juice than the standard 125cc Burgman).
