Benelli, the oldest Italian motorcycle manufacturer, showcased its products for the first time in India on October 17, 2014 in partnership with DSK. The company promised to launch 5 motorcycles from their stables within a couple of months and here we are with an exclusive sneak into its official Indian launch date!
According to what we have learnt barely a few minutes back, Benelli is planning to finalize Tuesday, 25th November as the official launch date into India. This showcases their first intents and the seriousness towards our markets.
Yes just a little over a month is all that the company has decided to wait. Call it Sino-Italian aggression (Benelli is now owned by the Qjian Jiang group) or just a hurry to start tapping into the potential of the highly lucrative Indian two-wheeler industry. And if Benelli manages to price it correctly, the company will heap tons and tons of rewards which will definitely make the management look at the Indian market with new found respect. We have no confirmation whether the company will be launching all 5 of them together or just about 3 models (excluding the BN301) on this date.
This comes in continuation of BikeAdvice busting the first ever sneaking bit of DSK joining hands with Benelli, way back in May this year, when nobody had a clue about it. DSK has been a player in India for quite some time and their experience with the South Korean motorcycle manufacturer, Hyosung, must have been a great learning experience.
Another important bit that you must note is that unlike the generic expectation of the company launching CBUs, they will be bringing in their Italian marvels as CKDs, which will help them in pricing the motorcycles at more affordable levels.
So folks, let’s wait till November 25, which is when we will have a very clear picture of how are the Italians planning to invade our motorcycling country… 😉 and hey do tell this date to your friends as well..you may receive a high 5 who knows 🙂
