India’s biggest exporter in terms of 2-wheeler volumes, Bajaj is continuing its tireless effort of vaccinating its employees and their family members. Its vaccination drive started with providing jabs to staff member aged 45 or more.
Now, expanding the vaccination drive Bajaj Auto has also begun delivering anti-bodies to its employees aging 18-year-old or above. The 2-wheeler major has plans to vaccinate all its workforce with Covishield including the contractual members in phases and by following all the government regulations.
Bajaj is already continuing the vaccination program at its production facilities in Akurdi, Chakan and Waluj. Soon, from the 5th of June 2021, Bajaj’s factory at Pantnagar will also turn into a venue for mass vaccination.
To receive a jab, employees have to register through the COWIN app on their smartphones. Bajaj’s Support Team will keep the eligible members updated regarding their respective vaccination dates.

Financial Aid for Employee’s Death Due to COVID
Earlier Bajaj Auto has also declared to support the ward and family members of their employees if the latter succumbs to Corona.
The deceased’s children will receive support for education till their graduation. The family can also utilize insurance for hospital charges up to 5 years. Bajaj will also provide the salary of the late employee for up to 2 years.

Bajaj Auto has also made provisions for 24×7 COVID care for its workforce. Since 2020, 1140 patients have recovered and around 4500 tests have been carried out at the company’s production facility in Waluj.
So far, Bajaj has contributed around INR 300 Crore to the government, NGOs, and local bodies to carry out the fight against COVID. With the donation amount, health care facilities of all tiers have set up equipment like PPE Kits, Masks, CT Scanner, Oxygen Concentrators, tele-ICUs in massive numbers. This is a great move from Bajaj Auto in this collective fight against the pandemic.

Also, it will bring the automotive’s manpower back on the working spree and contribute in fixing the economic drain out COVID is causing in India.
