Barely a few days back, at the Apache 200 media ride, a TVS top official confirmed that work on TVS’ 300cc G310R equivalent is under progress. He also revealed that it will be launched next year but did not reveal any more specifics about the motorcycle. (More details)
In an update, TVS has invited us at the Auto Expo where they say they will unveil “Concept vehicles”, yes vehicle with an “s”! Here is the exact terminology…
“It is our pleasure to invite you to the unveiling of our concept vehicles that will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. The unveiling is scheduled between 11.20 am and 11.40 am on February 03, 2016 at our stall @ Hall 2.”
If you remember last time TVS showcased the Draken Concept, production resultant of which is the Apache 200s. Other one was the scooter “Graphite”.
Similarly, we believe at least one of the upcoming showcase will involve the premier of TVS’ 300 as a concept. It will give us the first glimpse of how is TVS envisaging their flagship motorcycle with the biggest-yet 300 cc mill which has been developed by BMW with inputs from TVS.

It will also clear the air whether TVS will venture into faired motorcycles or if they will keep them naked as the Apache’s so far have been! Since Bajaj is absent at the Auto Expo, this is TVS‘ best chance to grab eyeballs and we are sure the 300 will be a stunner!
