Aprilia SXR160 Price Revealed; Launch in Few Days

Speculative Aprilia SXR160 price revelation suggests that the maxi-scoot will be 20,000 costlier than its other 160cc sibling…

The Italian manufacturer’s Indian arm – Piaggio India is all set to launch its most awaited maxi-scooter – SXR160 in the country. The bookings of the scooter are expected to commence in a few days’ time, followed by its launch before the end of this month.

However, ahead of its launch, the scooter’s prices are already floating on the internet. Speculations suggest that the company’s first maxi-scooter in India will be priced at ₹1.27 Lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). That is the 200cc motorcycle category and it is about ₹20,000 expensive than the SR160. While the maxi-scooter will take on Suzuki’s Burgmann Street 150 when it is launched (already confirmed), the pricing of SXR160 makes it an extremely premium product.

In terms of design, the maxi-scooter comes with aggressive LED headlamps, which are mounted on the front apron, just like the RS660 (also coming to our market). On the rear, it gets a sleek tail section with LED tail-lamps. Other features include a fully digital instrument cluster and USB charging port.
