Apart from an all new 250cc motorcycle, Suzuki’s top boss has also revealed some new bits about the company’s other future products. Suzuki’s major chunk of sales come from the scooter business with its Access being the largest selling 125 cc scooter in the country.
However, its other scooters have not been able to replicate the same magic. It tried Let’s in the 110 cc space, Swish as a premium 125cc but both of them bombed, despite being good products. The latest in the arsenal is the swashbuckling Burgman Street 125 which is doing a decent business at this point of time.
The introduction of the international Burgman brand in India was a sureshot hint that Suzuki would produce more maxi-scooters. And as we say this, Suzuki’s Managing Director, Satoshi Uchida has almost confirmed a Burgman Street 150 for our market. He says that the company is looking at 150cc scooters and in all probability it will debut it on the Burgman Street first. Later, depending on how it is received in the market, it will take further decisions on future products based on this engine.

Uchida has also cleared that the company may also be looking at scooters with greater than 150cc engines.
We are going to add more premium scooters. In future, we have to look at 150cc+ segment. We are studying the development of more than 150cc scooters. We will see how it works on the Burgman Street and then may use it for another model
Apart from this, the report suggests that Suzuki may also be considering adding another 125 cc scooter to the lineup in 2021.
