Aprilia makes some very beautiful motorcycles. And now after the faired sports and sports tourers, it is all set to give us a new mid-sized Adventure motorcycle – which will be called as Tuareg 660.
The name is quite befitting the purpose as Tuareg refers to a nomadic tribe of the central Sahara desert. As you may have guessed, the Tuareg 660 will feature a 660cc parallel-twin cylinder engine. It’s the same engine that powers the Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 – both of which are almost here (in India).

In a conversation to an international magazine, Cristian Romeo Barelli, Product Marketing Manager of Aprilia, has revealed a few details about the upcoming model. The Tuareg 660 will have 21/18 inch wire-spoke wheel set-up. Spoke wheels help sustain the shocks and roughness of off-roading terrains better and are less prone to complete breakage as compared to alloys. This will make the motorcycle very ‘off-road’ oriented.
The maker is focusing on minimizing the weight of the adventure bike. So, the Aprilia Tuareg may initially come with a smaller fuel tank. It could, then, have a higher Rally variant, with a bigger tank – a strategy often adopted by various makers.

Aprilia Tuono 660 2021 Launched in Malaysia
The Aprilia Tuareg may launch by the fall of 2021. And since the other two models on this platform are already here (almost), it is also expected to come sometime next year.
