After showcasing the bike and creating a lot of ripples in the market with the big capacity and interesting Mojo, Mahindra has been dilly-dallying with its launch period.
During our last few encounters with Mahindra’s top honchos, we were told that Mojo will be launched and this is the year that the company said, Mojo will come to the markets. However, things only looked satisfying when the first on-road spyshots of Mojo broke away over the interweb.
That was a confirmation that Mojo has not been shelved and there were official confirmations that the production version will go through a lot of enhancements.
Nonetheless, in a new development, Anoop Mathur, President of Mahindra Two Wheelers has told Economic Times that Mahindra Mojo will be released during the upcoming Auto Expo 2014. Considering the pace at which Mojo is being tested in and around Mahindra’s plant in Pune and the production-readiness of the mules, it appears that this launch date is final and we must be getting the product in February.

Back when Mahindra first showcased Mojo, there was no real competition in the market and Mahindra would have snatched the first mover advantage. However, contrary to that, currently we have fresh new products that have been launched and many of them about to hit our shores, we believe going will not be really easy for the company.
Mojo, in terms of specs, gets a 292cc single cylinder mill which is liquid cooled and produces 26PS of power output and 25Nm of torque. It is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. These are the specs what Mahindra revealed during its unveiling and there is a big possibility that there may be some alterations in them; we believe, in the positive!
Apart from this Anoop Mathur, talked about Mahindra’s aggressive plans yet again. The company has plans to launch as many as 10 new products within 2-2.5 years which averages to 1 product every quarter, almost! A few of them we have busted already!
