TVS has officially launched two motorcycles today – the 2023 Apache 180 and 2023 Apache 160 – basically updates to the older-gen Apaches. We have discussed the 2023 Apache 180 in this article and here we will talk about the new 160 2v.
2023 Apache 160 Changes
The basic design and platform of the motorcycle has remained unchanged but it gets a big list of features that almost bring it at par with the newer generation Apaches. Here is a quick list..

Aside all the above, the new 160 comes with three ride modes – Sport, Urban and Rain. Another big bang feature addition is the SmartXonnect that enables Bluetooth connectivity and hence, a long list of additional information including turn by turn navigation. It also gets voice assist that is a first in segment offering.
The Apache 160 continues with the same 159.7 cc 2-valve engine and churns 16.04 PS of peak power at 8750 rpm and 13.85 Nm of max torque at 7000 rpm. This means that power has seen a bump of 0.51 PS but comes 350 rpm later. On the other hand, torque is slightly down by 0.05 Nm. TVS also informs that it has managed to reduce the weight of the motorcycle by 2 kilos.

2023 Apache 160 Price
TVS is offering the new Apache 160 in three variants and here are the respective prices..

This means that TVS is charging a premium of Rs 4050 on the drum brake variant and Rs 4550 on the disc brake variant for all the added features. Surprisingly, with this step the Apache 160 2V has come extremely closer to the 4V model. For reference, only Rs 1861 separate the top of the line trims (with Bluetooth connectivity) of the older-gen 160 and the new Apache 160 4V.
The 2023 Apache 160 is offered in five colors – Pearl White, Gloss Black, Matte Blue, T-Grey and Racing Red. Bookings have opened from today across all the TVS showrooms in India.
