2021 Norton V4SS launch in the coming few weeks. This 200 hp monster will be the first motorcycle under TVS ownership…
The first that TVS Motor, the new owner of Norton brand, did with it was to bring stability to the proceedings after it was brought under administration. It appointed an interim CEO, John Russell, who brought things under control and shifted to a new, bigger and more modern manufacturing facility at Solihull, England.
With things at a certain level, it was time to create a proper team to take things to the next level – the level that once Norton was known for. TVS formed and announced a new CEO and CTO of the company and a new team that will take the baton forward.
On the motorcycle front, Sudarshan Venu, Joint Managing Director of TVS, has confirmed a new 2021 V4SS, that will be the first fresh motorcycle under the Chennai-based brand’s ownership. Sudarshan has promised significant improvements to overall engineering and product quality and he says that it will be visible in this upcoming 2021 V4SS.
We flipped to Norton’s official website which lists few details of the new V4SS. This twin-eyed model will be limited to just 200 units. The motorcycle that has been inspired from Isle of Man TT, will exude exclusivity and will be crafted with carbon fibre bodywork.
It will be powered by a 1200cc, V4 engine that will churn 200 bhp of power and 130 Nm of max torque. All of that lot will however be limited for the developed markets and the V4SS may not be available in India. However, TVS has patented four Norton bike names in India that may be introduced here but that will be a lot later.
