2021 Honda CBR 650 Launched at ₹8.88 Lac; ₹1.18 Lac Costlier Than BS4

2021 Honda CBR650R BS6 price is 15 percent higher in this transition and it does not get any significant changes for justification….

Like we discussed in our launch article of the sibling CB650R, Honda is getting serious about the mid-sized motorcycle space in India. This is the fifth exciting model launched by Honda after the India-made CB350 and CB350RS and CKDs CB500X and CB650R in this segment.

The CBR650R has returned after a brief halt in this BS4 to BS6 transition. It continues to be powered by the same 649cc, in-line four cylinder, 16 valve, DOHC engine that now belts out 64 KW (87 PS) of peak power at 12,000 rpm and 57.5 Nm of max torque at 8500 rpm. For reference, the older model churned 65 KW (88.37 PS) of power at 11,500 rpm and 60.1 Nm of torque at 8000 rpm which means there has been a minor drop in both power and torque and a raise in peak rpms. Weight has also risen by 1 kg to 211 kilos.
