Kawasaki Z650 BS6 price hike is Rs 25,000 over the older version but it is lower than the earlier estimates the company shared few months back…
Kawasaki has officially announced the launch of the new 2020 Z650 in India. The motorcycle gets the mandatory Bharat Stage 6 emission compliance with this upgrade. The Z650 is the only option in the midsize streetfighter motorcycle segment in India at the moment.
The new Z650 continues with the same 649 cc, liquid cooled, parallel twin, DOHC engine. It produces 68 PS of peak power at 8000 rpm and 64 Nm of max torque at 6700 rpm. Like its faired sibling, power has remain unchanged, however, torque is down by a marginal 1.7 Nm. Kawasaki informs that changes have been made to the intake and exhaust components to meet BS6 norms. Also, the mid-range torque, it claims, is now higher.
It gets revised aggressive ‘Sugomi’ design and a new sharper LED headlamp. The overall styling changes lend it a very bold look – more desirable than before. With this it moves closer to the new Z900 which looks smashing.
You also get smartphone connectivity through the Rideology app on the new digital TFT colored instrument console. Like the Ninja 650, the Z650 also comes with Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres.
