2020 Passion BS6 price hike is roughly 11 percent over the older motorcycle but it comes in an all-new avatar with significant changes…
Along with the new Xtreme 160R and 2020 Glamour, Hero has also officially launched the new Passion BS6 in India. Passion was once Hero’s second largest selling 2-wheeler in India but gradually it has fallen off the charts and its place has been taken by HF Deluxe.
The new Passion has been made ‘bling’ with the usage of bright colours. It comes with a sleeker headlamp and bright tripletone colour themes.
It is powered by a 110cc engine which we believe is the same (113cc) motor that has gone to the Splendor iSmart as well. With the help of fuel injection, it now produces 9.02 bhp of peak power at 7500 rpm and 9.79 Nm of max torque at 5000 rpm. In comparison, the older Passion BS4 was good for 9.39 bhp at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm at 5500 rpm. Which means that the motorcycle has lost a wee bit (0.37 bhp) of power but gained 0.79 Nm of torque and it also peaks in 500 rpm earlier.
The 2020 Passion carries a new diamond frame and continues with Hero’s i3s (idle start-stop) technology. Hero has increased the front suspension travel by 14 percent and the rear suspension stroke by 10 percent. As a result, the ground clearance has also gone up by 9 percent.

It also features a new ‘Auto Sail’ technology along with a digital-analogue instrument cluster which has a provision to show the realtime fuel efficiency of your motorcycle.

The price of the older Passion was ₹58,200 and ₹60,900 for these variants which means that the hike is ₹6790 and ₹6290 (corresponding to 11.6% and 10.3%) respectively.
