New Duke 200 Under Works

2020 Duke 200 launch expected early next year and we believe it will pack in significant changes and not just be a minor nip tuck!

KTM started its innings in India with the Duke 200 way back in 2012. Since then it has continued with the same outer skin and minor cosmetic changes and/or sticker updates.

A new report reveals that KTM is working on an updated Duke 200 which was revealed by Sumeet Narang, President of Bajaj Probiking, at the launch of the 790 Duke (launch article here). The timeline, he said is mid-term which is ambiguous!

But if we further try to dissect, early 2020 looks likely because, KTM will, anyway, have to field the updated BSVI version before April 2020. This is if KTM intends to club the update with the engine upgrade.

Last year, a report from KTxM Indonesia revealed that the company is working on a new Duke 200 but it has not been launched so far (more details). It appears this time KTM will and should lend the streetfighter a comprehensive update which may include giving it the design of the elder Dukes along with tweaks to the sprightly motor.

With the Duke 125 now shouldering a lot of sales for the stable, KTM does have this option of giving a new lease of life to its elder brother.
