While India awaits the return of the quarter liter CBR series of motorcycles, Honda has revealed the new 2020 CBR 250RR in Japan. The new bike comes with many changes which make it a lot more potent than ever.
The 2020 CBR 250RR now comes with an updated water-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, and in-line two-cylinder engine, which churns out 41 PS of peak power at 13,000 rpm and 25 Nm of max torque at 11,000 rpm. For reference, the older model produced 38 PS at 12,500 rpm and 23 Nm at 11,000 rpm. This means that, amid the Kawasaki ZX25R onslaught, the CBR 250RR has received an important 3 PS of power gain and 2 Nm of torque gain.
In the new update, the CBR 250RR has gained support for slipper clutch, as well. According to the company, the new bike now weighs 168 kg and comes with a throttle-by-valve function and a revised suspension set-up. The new quickshifter addition will enable high-speed clutchless shifts.
CBR 250RR is equipped with a steel pipe truss structure frame that offers rigidity and suppleness to the bike. Also, the motorcycle now comes with four color options, including Grand Prix Red (Stripe), Matt Gun Powder Black Metallic, Pearl Glare White, and Grand Prix Red. All these variants now come with golden colored alloy wheels as standard.
