After teasing it few days back, Benelli has officially launched the updated 302R in China. The motorcycle continues with the same styling with a bulky full fairing, split dual headlamps, upside-down front forks, etc.
From the same 300 cc twin cylinder engine, the 302R produces 26 KW (35.35 PS) of peak power at 12,000 rpm and 27 Nm of max torque at 9000 rpm. There are no changes to these specs as compared to the older model listed on the Chinese website. We, however, believe, there could be updates to the emissions from the motor.
In terms of performance, the company claims a 0-100 kph sprint in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 170 kph. 302R has gained weight it seems – it now tips the scale at 204 kg (kerb).

Benelli has freshened the lineup with the introduction of four new colors – Neon green, red, blue and white. The green shade has a resemblance with Kawasaki whereas the blue color (with yellow colored frame) does not look good in pics.

The motorcycle is priced at 32,800 yuan which is roughly equal to 3.52 Lakh in INR. Benelli is also scheduled to launch the new 302R in India (it will come with a BS6 compliant engine) sometime later this year. Here in India, we expect the updated model to come at a price tag of under Rs 3.5 Lakh INR.
