Is it the 2018 Wego?
After the recent mysterious spotting which was later resolved as Yamaha Nozza Grande here is a new puzzle for all of us. An unidentified scooter, super camouflaged, has been spotted testing somewhere near Bangalore by a Team-BHP member.
Multiple auto portals have reported the test mule based on what they felt; some believe it is the new 125 cc TVS Fuel Injected Jupiter, few say its the new or 125 cc Honda Dio (considering that Honda has recently opened a factory near Bangalore). However, there is no confirmed finding so far.
Let us try to decipher the company first. Considering the location, the way the scooter has been camouflaged (we have not seen Honda covering their test mules with cloth), registration plate, it appears to be a TVS mule to me and NOT Hondas!
2018 Wego?
This is a sporty looking scooter with a pointed tail, flowing body, slanted seat unlike Jupiters and Activas. In TVS’ stable we have the Wego matching the basic body design and it has been long since it was last updated. These and a few other minor design pointers suggest that this could be the new 2018 Wego in the making or it could also be the 125 cc (Wego based sporty) scooter TVS is believed to be working on.
Among other bits we can notice split grab handle, chunky exhaust canister, 12 inch ~10-spoke alloy wheels, telescopic shock absorbers etc.
