While I was very confident of a very aggressive price tag for the Speed 400 – Triumph’s smallest and the first motorcycle that is made by Bajaj in India, the world expected a much higher tag. When Rajiv Bajaj announced the 2.33 Lakh ex-showroom tag, everybody burst into joy. It was truly a remarkable feat – a Brit moniker motorcycle, with impressive specs, available at that tag!
In fact, Rajiv Bajaj somehow convinced Triumph about an inaugural offer of Rs 10,000 for the first few bikers who booked their bikes. Few months later, the Scrambler 400X was launched – at 2.63 Lac – about 30,000 more than its roadster cousin.

So, as you can see, both these models have seen a price increment of roughly Rs 1500 which is less than one percent of the original cost of these motorcycles. There is no reason the company has given for this increase; they are just updated on the website.
