“The EV Age is an opportunity for the world to re-think what a motorcycle should be.” This is what a new Colorado (USA) based company Zaiser Motors believes. It appears to be very new to the scene but has unveiled a very interesting electric motorcycle called as Electrocycle.
Electrocycle is a real long cruiser from the company. Apart from its unconventional looks, there is a lot about it which is interesting. It is powered by a twin hub motor (2-wheel drive?) and a 17.3 KWH battery which gives it a claimed range of 300 miles or about 483 km. Zaiser claims a 0 to 60 mph (96 kph) in just 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 120 mph (193 kph).
Aside this real good range, the Electrocycle comes with interchangeable batteries which kills the range anxiety issue completely. Prominent features of the cruiser include regenerative braking, traction control and the most interesting of them all – auto stabilization. Apart from a few concepts we do not think there is any commercial motorcycle that has got this tech so far.
Next up look at the following instrument console (and the very different riding position). Electrocycle will come with proximity sensors, wearable connectivity and roadside assistance.
