Yamaha Launches New R15 in Malaysia; Is More Powerful Than Indian Version

Yamaha has officially launched an updated YZF-R15 in Malaysia. As a part of the new model year, the motorcycle gets two fresh colors – Race Blue and Black.

The Race Blue is a lot blue-r than before whereas the matte black now comes without the red graphics of the older model. There are no mechanical changes and it continues to be powered by the same 155.1cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine which produces 19.3 PS of peak power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of max torque at 8500 rpm.

If you compare that with the Indian spec R15, our version produces lesser power and torque and that is because of the stringent Bharat Stage 6 emission norms that got enforced here earlier this year.
