Gradually, all the makers are upgrading to smart connectivity features. Just a few days after Suzuki announced its Bluetooth connectivity system – ‘Ride Connect system’, Yamaha has launched its version of the technology called ‘Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X’.

It is a Bluetooth-based technology that enables riders to connect their mobiles with the bike by a ‘single touch’. The feature can be accessed using an app called ‘Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X’, available on both Google Play Store and Apple’s iOS app store for free.

The smart connectivity system offers features such as geo-location, wherein the turn indicators will light up for 10 seconds, hazard lights, riding history, parking record, and E-lock (that locks your motorcycle to prevent theft). Apart from that, it gets a feature called ‘Answer Back’, which, upon engaging, makes the bike blink indicators and sound the horn.
