Yamaha MT15 Launch Date

The event is scheduled at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida and will be presided over by Motofumi Shitara, Chairman Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies.

MT15 essentially is the naked version of R15 with the same deltabox frame and that magical 155cc liquid cooled SOHC motor. In an earlier leak, a document revealed that the India-spec MT15 will churn out 19.3 PS of peak power at 10,000 rpm which is exactly equal to the R15. It further detailed that MT15 will have a gross vehicle weight of 288 kg and that it will be equipped with ABS! It is not official but we expect it to continue with the dual-channel ABS of the R15.

To keep costs in check, like the R15, MT15 will also come devoid of the premium Upside down front forks. The production version may also employ box-section swingarm. MT15 packs in one of the most dramatically aggressive looking headlamp on production motorcycles which enhances the streetfighter looks.

Five of the Most Awaited Motorcycles of 2019

We believe MT15 may cost about Rs 1.20-1.25 Lakh ex-showroom and considering the venue we are sure that the event will also host the first ride of the motorcycle. Stay tuned for all the dope.
