Yamaha India in an official communication to BikeAdvice has informed about a change in their top management. Mr Hiroaki Fujita has been appointed as the new Chairman of Yamaha Motor Group of companies in India which include India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd (IYM), Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd (YMIS) and Yamaha Motor Research & Development India Pvt Ltd.
Replacing Mr Hiroyuki Suzuki, Mr Fujita will also hold the position of President and CEO of Yamaha Motor India Pvt Ltd. Mr Fujita has been associated with Yamaha Motor Company (YMC), Japan for more than 32 years now. Previously he had been looking over the position of Executive General Manager, Intelligent Machinery (IM) Operations, Yamaha Motor Company. He has also been an Executive Officer at YMC since in 2011.
Yamaha Motor Company has only recently created YMI as the regional headquarters and corporate control body of India business operations. YMI is responsible for Corporate Strategy, Business Planning and Business Expansion, Quality Control & Compliance Assurance, and Regional Control of Yamaha India Business. IYM is their manufacturing company while YMIS and YMRI would autonomously support IYM for sales, marketing and development of its products respectively. Yamaha India has two manufacturing facilities in India, one at Surajpur, Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh and at Faridabad in Haryana.
Besides implanting innovations for the company, Mr. Fujita has interests in playing Golf and Tennis. His family includes two daughters, a son and wife.
