Latest Yamaha FZ recall pertains to the rear side reflector on certain production batches. You can get them fitted free of cost at a dealership.
Yamaha has announced a recall of its new 150cc FZ motorcycles in India. This recall pertains to the fuel injected FZs that were manufactured from October 2019. The reason for this voluntary recall is the ‘non-fitment of rear-side reflector’.
Some motorcycles from frame number ME1RG44DAK0022481 to ME1RG44DAK0023520 for FZ FI and from ME1RG44FAK0061781 to ME1RG44FBK0069897 for FZ-S FI appear to have missed this rear side reflector. And Yamaha will fit this reflector in all these motorcycles free of cost.
This is a minor safety compliance from the maker and it does not affect the performance of the motorcycle in any way. This fitment will be done at the dealerships. You can check at this official website if your motorcycle is impacted or not.
You can visit your nearest dealership in case your motorcycle is a part of this exercise. Alternatively, you can also contact 1800 420 1600 for any queries and questions.
