TVS Scooty Pep Mudhal Kadhal edition comes with new color, graphics, a 3D emblem, and the model’s logo in Tamil language.
The Chennai-based automaker – TVS Motor has just launched a limited-edition version of its popular scooter – Scooty Pep+, called “Mudhal Kadhal”.
This is exclusive to its customers in Chennai, and comes ahead of the Pongal festival in the state. TVS has a very strong presence in Tamil Nadu, as it is native to the state. The term ‘Mudhal Kadhal’ means “First Love” in Tamil.
The scooter has been in the market for more than 25 years now, and it celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2019. The company has priced the new version of the scooter at Rs 56,085 (ex-showroom, Chennai).
The latest limited edition of the scooter comes with a new color option, graphics, and a 3D emblem. Apart from that, it also gets a logo of the scooter’s brand in Tamil language, which is a first for any two-wheeler in the country.
The new color combination includes brown, grey, and black, while the seat of the scooter comes finished in dual-tone color with white stitching.
Apart from these changes, the Scooty remains the same mechanically. It comes with a 87.8 cc, single-cylinder, BS6 compliant engine that produces peak power of 5.4 PS at 6,500 rpm and 6.5 Nm torque at 3,500 rpm. TVS claims that the engine comes with ET-Fi Ecothrust technology, that produces 15% better performance and mileage.
