Only a few weeks back TVS announced a re-entry into the 125cc motorcycle space with this very interesting motorcycle – Raider. Barely has the motorcycle gone on sale in India, TVS has started shipping it to Nepal.
Through an official press note, TVS Motor has announced the launch of Raider in the Nepal market. TVS operates through a local company called as Jagdamba Motors in Nepal and already sells many motorcycles and scooters there.
The Raider is placed in the sporty sub-segment and comes with many interesting features such as a reverse LCD digital speedometer that shares host of information, wide split seat, LED headlamps, USB charger, etc.

It is powered by a 125cc, air and oil cooled 3 valve engine. Official press note lists the power as 12.9 PS at 8000 rpm and max torque at 11.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. In comparison, the India-spec model produces 11.38 PS at 7500 rpm and 11.2 Nm at 6000 rpm.
There is a big difference in these numbers, specially the power output. We are not sure if this is some gaffe in the official press note or the Nepalese Raider is so much more powerful. We have highlighted this difference to TVS and will update the story once we have their reply.
