TVS surprised everyone by introducing the new Apache 200 with three ride modes back in November 2020. Apart from ride modes, it also received various changes like adjustable suspension, adjustable brake and clutch levers, improved braking, weight loss, etc. You can read more details on them here. It received a price hike in March 2021.
Last month, TVS followed up with a single channel ABS version of the motorcycle. However, within a month, prices of both the variants have seen increments.

The latest price hike is Rs 1295 on both the variants as compared to their March prices. The Dual ABS variant has become costlier by Rs 3315 within five months. This corresponds to a hike of 2.5 percent. From its first launch price of Rs 1.24 Lakh (of the BS6 version that was introduced in November 2019), the new model has become costlier by Rs 10,000 or over 8 percent. This is over and above the 8-9 percent increment the BS6 variant received in transition.

Unfortunately, such price increments have gone onto many rival bikes as well. For instance, Pulsar NS200 still is marginally costlier than the 200cc Apache and the flagship Pulsar RS200 has received one of the biggest price hikes.
