So, in a very interesting turn of events, Triumph has sent us a teaser mailer which asks us to block our dates on the 18th Sep and the mailer reads loud and clear – Stay Tuned, We are adding another member to our family…
So, what gets clear is that the company is about to launch a new motorcycle in India but the bigger question is – which one…? To be very frank, we do not have any clue at this point of time.
Going by the teaser pic which features a cruiser, Triumph may be considering launching either of the two cruisers it sells in UK – Speedmaster or America. However, it could just be another variant of the motorcycles it currently sells here in India. So, we will just keep the speculations limited to this and if you have any info do mention that in the comments below.
Triumph currently sells 11 motorcycle models in India and the latest one – Daytona 675 ABS was launched at the Auto Expo in Delhi this February. They are all a mix of CKDs and CBUs with latest prices ranging between Rs 5.7 Lakhs for the Bonneville to Rocket III Roadster at 20 Lakhs ex showroom in Delhi.
Triumph is doing pretty well in India and have received 600 bookings as per the last information we received. They currently have 8 dealerships across India and has plans to open Kolkata soon.
