2018 Gixxer SF SP gets ABS and FI as standard whereas Gixxer SP comes in the ABS trim…
The regular Gixxer has already been launched with ABS and building on the same hype, Suzuki recently introduced the 2018 SP (special edition) Gixxer range which comprises both – Gixxer SF as well as the naked Gixxer, earlier this month.
The 2017 range was offered in Orange-Black-White tri-colour theme whereas the new 2018 version gets golden-black colour (called as Metallic Majestic Gold/Glass Sparkle Black in Suzuki’s speak). They also come with 2018 SP logos and new graphics on the front cowl and fuel tank.
Gixxer SF SP gets Fuel Injection, rear disc brake as well as ABS and the naked Gixxer SP misses out only on fuel injection. In an update, the motorcycle has started reaching dealerships and our reader Shivansh Batham has posted a walkaround video of the SF SP which has been appended at the end of this article.
The 154.9 cc SOHC engine continues unchanged and produces 14.8 PS of peak power and 14 Nm of maximum torque.

The 2018 Gixxer SP gets a price increment of Rs 6075 because of the inclusion of ABS and the faired SF SP is now Rs 1318 costlier as compared to the 2017 version. Both the motorcycles will be available at all dealerships of Suzuki in India.

Apart from this, Suzuki has very recently launched Burgman Street which becomes India’s only maxi-scooter and there are fresh new rumours of Gixxer 250.
