We recently rode the Suzuki’s latest mid-sizer GSX-S750 at Buddh International Circuit in Noida (read review). At the venue, Suzuki also kept the 2018 Gixxer range on display which also had the Gixxer ABS.
So far, only the faired Gixxer SF was being offered with ABS. And today, Suzuki has launched the naked Gixxer with ABS in India. It comes in the rear disc variant (Suzuki also sells a rear drum version of the motorcycle) and it is available in all three colours – Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black, Candy Sonoma Red/Metallic Sonic Silver and Glass Sparkle Black. All these three colours were on display at BIC.

Price of Gixxer ABS is bang in the region what we estimated. Suzuki is charging a premium of about Rs 6300 for ABS on Gixxer SF and the Gixxer ABS also gets a similar difference when compared with the Gixxer rear disc non-ABS trim (which costs Rs 80,929).
This makes it Rs 5000 cheaper than the only other naked 150 ABS equipped rival motorcycle on offer – Honda Hornet 160R (price comparison with Hornet rear disc ABS), which was the most affordable ABS-equipped motorcycle in India till now (Honda also offers it without ABS at Rs 90,734 ex-Delhi).
