Gixxer Police version comes with minor changes…
The good thing is that, along with business development plans, corporates are also venturing into various safety campaigns to educate their customers. We have heard about a lot of such initiatives from Honda and Suzuki has now ventured into this realm.
They introduced safety campaigns like #CaughtWithoutHelmet and #HelmetForLife which promoted helmet awareness among bike riding populace. Last month, they conducted a ceremony at Gurgaon’s Commissioner office and distributed 60 Gixxer motorcycles to traffic authorities.
In a latest update, Suzuki has presented 20 Gixxer motorcycles to the police in Gurgaon.
The Gixxer police versions, according to the pics, are all white in colour (naked Gixxers have a tinge of blue) and come with a few ‘Police’ logos apart from taller visors and side saddlebags in complementing colours. There are additional red and blue lights installed on the RVM chalks.
Apart from this, Suzuki has plans to distribute 12000 helmets across 12 cities in India. These cities are Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Surat, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Calicut.
With initiatives like these, Suzuki said, they intend to encourage more people to embrace safe riding habits.
