Suzuki Confirms ‘Premium Products’ Tomorrow; 250cc ADV..?

Suzuki 250cc ADV – will we get to see it tomorrow? The company has invited us for unveiling of its new products at the Auto Expo…

With the exception of Suzuki Motorcycles, no other major manufacturer is participating in this year’s Auto Expo, which will kickstart from tomorrow. In an official invite Suzuki has announced unveiling of what it calls as its ‘Premium product range‘ tomorrow at 11 am.

The event will see the presence of Mr Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director and Mr Devashish Handa, Vice President – two of the top officials from the company. There is nothing else that the mailer reads. Now let us try to decipher it a bit…

‘Unveiling’ means these will be all new products which haven’t been launched (at least in India). ‘Premium’ could be anything (including higher capacity two-wheelers from the international lineup), however, we believe these will be India specific motorcycles (and scooters). This may also include the Bharat Stage 6 compliant versions of the existing products like the Burgman Street, Intruder, etc. And finally, ‘product range’ is a confirmation that there will be a few of them (and not just one!).

There are already reports/confirmations of the following products for our market…

  • Bigger Burgman Street 150 – It may continue with the same bulky design of the 125 with a bigger engine. More details here.
  • All-New 250cc Motorcycle – This could be a cruiser (Intruder 250) or an Adventure motorcycle. More details here.
