Steelbird has added new models to their range of Air helmets. Launched back in May 2015, these helmets help in keeping your head cool by maintaining an air flow even while riding under the harsh sun or humid regions. Steelbird, which is the country’s largest helmet manufacturer, is the first brand to have brought this technology to India.
Developed at their Italian research and development centre, Air helmets are a boon for Indian riding conditions. In fact they claim that the lab reports show a 4 to 5 degree less temperature inside the helmet while on a ride. These will be available in 14 designs and colours to pick from.
Just like the last year models, even these new helmets have three air ventilations for inflow and one for exhaust. Even the EPS shell ensures that air does not get trapped and circulates out leaving a cool ambience inside the helmet. They also boast of replaceable interiors, polycarbonate anti scratch coated visor, neck protector and quick release visor mechanism.
Called as SB1 Free Live, these helmets can be bought online or via the company’s retail channel. The starting price tag though has been increased to Rs 1,799.
