Simple One deliveries have been delayed to September. This hasn’t gone down well with customers waiting for their scooters…
Simple Energy took to their Twitter handle to share the latest update related to commencement of deliveries of their ‘One’ electric scooter. And it is not a pretty read if you are one of the prospects.
Through a statement, Simple Energy notified their existing customers who have pre-booked their scooters, and prospective buyers, that the company has delayed the start of deliveries of the e-scooters from July to the first week of September 2022.

The reason stated by the company for this delay is their ‘conscious call’ to re-check their systems once again in the light of recent EV fire instances and new regulations & mandates introduced by the Central Government regarding the same.
This announcement, though very mindful & sincere, has not been received well by some existing customers. While many welcomed the decision, others took to their Twitter handles to share their displeasure, even anger, on this announcement. Some even went as far as canceling their orders and posted screenshots of their canceled orders on social media.
Simple has announced commencement of test rides across 13 cities of India from 20th July. You can check out the complete list here.
Finally, to refresh your memory, Simple Energy is offering two variants of their ‘One’ electric scooter.
The Standard variant is priced at Rs. 1,09,999/- (ex-showroom) with real world range of 203 km and a Long-range version with claimed range of over 300 km, is priced at Rs. 1,49,999/- (ex-showroom). Both of these variants could be booked at Rs. 1,947/- from Simple Energy official website.
