Royal Enfield Scram joins the endless list of names that the Chennai based maker has already patented for its numerous upcoming motorcycles…
YOU ARE READING THIS FIRST ON BIKEADVICE!
In its list of many already filed patents, Royal Enfield has secured yet another name – SCRAM. The description mentions typical details like – motorcycles, motorized scooters, electrically powered vehicles, land vehicles, engines for land vehicles, etc. The name has been filed only a few days back and it is under ‘Formalities Chk Pass‘ status.
We believe Royal Enfield is making a scrambler and this name has been patented for it. A Royal Enfield scrambler is not new as many owners and builders have already designed few models. And there has been a speculation about the company working on a new model. Chances are that Scram will, probably, be based on the 650 platform, however, there is no concrete evidence of the same.
We earnestly hope that the company does not consider half baked products like the weird TRIALS it introduced some time back (thankfully they are no more on sale).

With a SCRAMbler in the portfolio, Royal Enfield will have quite a comprehensive line-up catering to different tastes. We must also tell you that the company is testing a lot of motorcycles on the roads and has promised launches every quarter on an average for the coming many years.
