Rumor: GD250R Delayed, Hyosung May Launch New Cruiser This Year

A report claims that recently spied GD250R & officially showcased GD250N will not be launched this year. But a cruiser may be in the pipeline…

We brought to you the first ever spyshots of Hyosung GD250R from India on 8th July (check them here). They remain the only pics from India still and were taken as indications of the oncoming of the single cylinder quarter liter within its speculated time frame – this year!

However, a new report at BikeDekho claims that Hyosung will NOT launch any of the GD250s – faired GD250R or naked GD250N in India this year. Instead, they say that the company may introduce a new cruiser, details of which were not shared in the interview they had with Shirish Kulkarni, chairman of DSK Group.

The better news is that – DSK is working on the pricing and the upcoming Hyosung motorcycles are expected to be aggressively priced, which is not the case at present.

Currently, DSK Hyosung sells three cruisers – Aquila 250, Aquila Pro (read review) and the lanky ST7 in India. A speculative bit circulating over the internet tells that the upcoming Hyosung cruiser may get a single cylinder near 300 cc engine which will be a first for Hyosung here.

We are not sure about this at the moment and hope to get some more dope in the coming few days.
