Royal Enfield South Korea opens up with a flagship dealership in Seoul…
Most of the manufacturers have understood that they will have to expand to international markets in order to loosen up their dependence on the Indian market. Royal Enfield, which has had a dream run so far, has very optimistic expansion plans – they want to become leading mid-size motorcycle makers in the world. They describe ‘mid-size’ motorcycles as bikes with displacements between 250 to 750cc.
After Thailand and other markets, in a latest, they have forayed into South Korea. The occasion was marked by the first flagship showroom launch in Seoul by Vimal Sumbly, RE’s APAC Business Head. Vintage Motors is Royal Enfield’s official distributor partner for the South Korean market. The flagship store is located at Hannam-daero 42-gil in Seoul. This dealership has commenced full operations which include sales, service and spares.
The three motorcycles that were launched in South Korea are…
- Bullet 500 – Price 5,500,000 won (~3.36 Lakh INR)
- Classic 500 & Classic 500 Chrome – Price 5,950,000 won (~3.63 Lakh INR) & 6,200,000 won (~3.78 Lakh INR) respectively
- Himalayan – Price 4,950,000 won (~3.02 Lakh INR)
