Most two-wheeler makers had announced plant shutdowns to curtail the second wave of COVID-19. The pause ranged from a few days to few weeks. Royal Enfield also announced shutdown earlier this month from 13-16 May.

In a latest update, the company has shot in mails to its employees informing of another shutdown between 27 May to 29 May 2021. This three day production pause is applicable to all the three factories – Oragadam, Vallam Vadagal and Thiruvottiyur. Production will commence from Monday 31st May 2021.
