Not Royal Enfield But Its Fans Respond to Bajaj’s “Haathi Mat Paalo” AD Again

Royal Enfield-Bajaj Rivalry is taking new turns…

Well, we have seen auto companies’ rivalries but mostly from and for the international markets. What is brewing up, in India, is something one of a kind. Bajaj has been calling Royal Enfield motorcycles names and the war reached its zenith when they released its latest ad which directly says – Haathi Mat Paalo, pointing at Royal Enfield. If you have not watched that ad, you can check it out here.

It was obvious for the manufacturer at the receiving end to respond but they haven’t done that so far. However, what has emerged are two ‘revenge‘ videos by Royal Enfield lovers against Dominar 400’s ad which sparked the wrath. A lot of RE users have shown their disapproval of Bajaj’s ad citing it as ‘senseless’. However, most of the non-users have approved the ad calling it an “apt” description of Royal Enfield motorcycles.

One of the latest video uploaded by an RE fan plays the original ad till the time Dominar comes close to the elephants. Just at this point the elephant turns and run towards the two motorcyclists on a Bajaj (Pulsar). And as an obvious reaction the Pulsar owners run for their life. Basically, the video tries to mock Bajaj’s fans by depicting the power of an elephant (Royal Enfield). Here is the video.. watch it till the end…

In another video, various facets of Royal Enfield motorcycles are showcased with a ticker which reads – “Inspired by a Motorcycling Way of Life“. It ends with the short clip taken from the Dominar 400 ad with bikers riding elephants (probably depicting RE riders) and a catchline – “Ride Like a King…

Though, it is not very clear how does this video take ‘revenge‘ for the Dominar 400 ad by Bajaj but what this whole scenario clarifies is that – shots have been fired and it is only a matter of time when we hear something from Royal Enfield. Surely, this Royal Enfield-Bajaj rivalry is not going to end anytime soon…
