It is known that Royal Enfield is readying its next-generation 350 platform and the first motorcycle to be based on it will be the Meteor 350 which has been ready for sometime.

A lot is already known about the cruiser and in a latest, few new details have surfaced on the internet. The Meteor 350 will be equipped with an all new 349 cc, single cylinder engine which will be air-oil cooled. It produces 20.2 bhp of peak power at 6100 rpm and 27 Nm of max torque at 4000 rpm.

It gets 100 mm 19 inch front tyres and 140 mm 17 inch rear tyres – both of which are tubeless. Braking duties are performed by a 300 mm disc at the front and a 270 mm rotor at the rear. It wil be aided by dual channel ABS system.

In comparison with the 20 liter fuel tank of the Thunderbird, the Meteor 350 is equipped with a smaller 15 liter tank. The front forks are 41mm in diameter and have a travel of 130 mm.

Royal Enfield will promote it as an ‘Easy Cruiser’ and promises smoother gear shifts, refined engine and low cost of ownership. It is expected to be launched anytime soon at prices around Rs 1.60 to 1.70 Lakh.
