Benelli’s Parent Reveals a New Full Faired 500cc Out of Nowhere

Again this could be a potential full faired Benelli 500 joining the Leoncino and TRK in the lineup of existing 500cc models…

We have lost count of the number of motorcycles Qianjiang – the parent company of Benelli and QJMotor, is making. It has covered a wide range of displacements right from 250cc.

In a latest update, a new 500cc sports motorcycle has been revealed by the company and it looks brilliant. This bears the QJmotor’s badge for now but we have seen Qianjiang using Benelli monikers interchangeably. Basically, the ploy generally is to sell the more popular Benelli brand in the international markets and use QJMotor in the Chinese market.

This 500, in full white, is stripped off any stickers which, we are sure, will come in the production version. There is a resemblance with mid-size CBRs as well as Ducatis. It has got dual disc brakes at the front along with silver colored upside down front forks. The twin split headlamps as well as the side blinkers should be LED units.

The engine appears to be a direct lift from the Leoncino 500 that is already Euro 5 compliant and now on sale in India.

Look at the engine. It appears to be the same as this new faired 500…

Benelli’s Parent Firm Has Just Patented This Full Faired 350cc Twin

On the scrambler, it churns 47.5 PS of peak power and 46 Nm of max torque. It should be very similar on this faired sportster as well. Considering that this motor is already Euro 5 compliant, this potential Benelli 500 is future proof.
