India’s second largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer (as per the sales data for last year) – Okinawa has just launched the all-new customizable B2B electric two-wheeler, Okinawa Dual. With this vehicle, the maker aims to tap the e-commerce delivery market.
Okinawa claims that the scooter has been designed to boost ‘services on wheels’, as it has optimized ‘dual-loading’ capacity. By dual loading, the company means that you can carry load at the front as well as the rear.
The Dual can be used to transfer heavy items like gas cylinders, water cans, heavy hardware equipment, and also other items like groceries, cold storage, medicines, etc. Apart from that, Okinawa is also offering customized accessories like delivery box, stackable crates, cold storage boxes for medicines, cylinder carrier, Lab on wheels, etc.
The new low-speed electric scooter will be available at Rs 58,998. It can also be customized as per customer business needs. It will be available in two colors – Fire Red and Sunshine Yellow. The scooter has sturdy build (70% metal), and Okinawa claims that it has achieved 92% localization in its products. It aims to increase it to 100% by April 2021.

The Dual is powered by a 250 Watt electric motor that has a top speed of 25 km/h. This means that you will neither need to register this scooter nor need a driver’s license to ride it. It has a kerb weight of 75 kilos, and comes with a disc brake at the front tyre.

Okinawa Dual has a 48W 55Ah detachable battery that can be charged 80% in 1.5 hours only, and to 100% in 4-5 hours. Okinawa claims a range of 13 km on a single charge. Other features of the scooter include Remote on function, phone holder, charging port, water bottle carrier, etc.
