TVS Motor has big plans with electric. It intends to launch a complete range of electric two and three-wheelers within the next couple of years. The power output of these EVs will range from 5 kW to 25 kW.
There has been a consistent rise in the demand of electric vehicles in India and TVS is planning to create a solid presence in this segment. It will target both passenger and cargo segments.
The brand has invested a whopping INR 1000 Crore in its EV business. This has been announced by Sudarshan Venu, the Joint Managing Director of TVS Motors India.
He also mentioned that a team of 500 plus engineers are working in its electric division which will produce various different products.

Very specifically, Sudarshan revealed that TVS will working on an updated iQube. He adds that the 2022 iQube will be launched in the next two months. Further details about the changes were not shared. We expect fine tuning to the motor, enhanced range and new features to be part of the 2022 model.
Along with that TVS will also expand iQube’s reach to around 20 cities very soon. By the end of 2021, they have plans to expand the EV across the whole country.
Sudarshan further comments that they believe that TVS has a good international business profile and the brand will also consider exporting its EVs to other countries.
TVS will soon announce partnerships for setting up charging infrastructures in Indian to keep up with providing fast charging facilities to the EV customers.
