New Honda NX500 price is decent considering the fact that it comes here as a Completely Built Unit attracting hefty taxation. Let’s quickly look at what’s on offer…
Honda has rebadged its CB500X to NX500. The NX nameplate in the updated avatar comes with a few changes and that particular mid-sized ADV has been officially launched in India.
The NX500 is being promoted as a ‘Daily Crossover’ and comes with the same 471cc, liquid cooled, twin cylinder engine that pumps out 35 KWH of power at 8600 rpm and 43 Nm of max torque at 6500 rpm. It continues with a 6-speed gearbox. Honda says that the engine has been tuned for ‘a strong feel of acceleration‘ in cities.
In terms of features, the model comes with all-LED lighting, assist and slipper clutch and Honda’s Torque Control. At the front, you get 41 mm upside down forks from Showa and there is a 5-step adjustable mono-suspension at the rear. Like the CB, the NX500 comes with a 19 inch front and a 17 inch rear tyre.
Braking power comes with dual 296mm disc brakes at the front and a 240 mm rotor at the rear and further aiding the safety quotient is a standard dual channel ABS system. There is a 5 inch full color TFT screen that also has smartphone connectivity option via Honda RoadSync that also opens up the turn-by-turn navigation feature.

Honda NX500 Price
Honda NX500 | Rs 5.90 Lac |
Considering the fact that the NX500 is a CBU (completely built unit), prices are decent. However, when you factor in the competition, the near 500cc machine looks high priced. It must also be noted that Honda has tagged this as an ‘introductory price’ which means it may increase when and if Honda sees satisfactory traction in its sales.
The NX500 is available in three colors – Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Pearl Horizon White. You can now book the crossover adventure motorcycle at any BigWing dealership in India and deliveries will start from February 2024 onwards.
