2019 Duke 250 ABS Launched; Gets Dual-Channel Unit

Duke 250 ABS price is Rs 14,000 more than the non-ABS variant…

KTM has launched the 2019 Duke 250 ABS in India and this comes after they had introduced the Duke 125 as well as the Duke 200 with ABS recently. The difference here is that the quarter liter is being offered with the comprehensive dual-channel ABS unit whereas both the smaller siblings are equipped with single-channel systems.

Dual channel ABS works on both the front as well as the rear wheel and is the more comprehensive, safer unit whereas single-channel ABS works only on the front wheel and does not help if the rear wheel locks up. And hence, dual-channel ABS is the costlier system of the two.

Duke 250’s ABS system, which must have been sourced from BOSCH (confirmation pending), can also be switched off but reportedly, it does NOT come with the Supermoto mode of the Duke 390 which allows disengaging only the rear wheel (confirmation pending) for your off-road excursions.

It is placed nicely in between the Duke 200 ABS (Rs 1.60 Lakh) and Duke 390 (Rs 2.44 Lakh) providing KTM enough room to slot in the RC250 which they have been snapped testing in Pune (spyshots here).
