It feels as if we were contemplating and speculating about the Triumph 400s just a few months ago. But the reality is that these two motorcycles have already completed a full year of launch. Unveiled on 27th June 2023 in London, the Speed 400 was launched in July, followed by the Scrambler 400X in October 2023.
The smallest Triumph motorcycles have been in the Indian market for around a year and Bajaj, the partner that is taking care of the complete manufacturing of these twins, is also shipping them to Triumph’s international markets. The company informs that it has sold over 50,000 units of these 400s – which is roughly an average of over 4100 units a month. Impressive, very impressive!
As an anniversary offer, Bajaj (which is also the sole distributor of Triumph in India) has announced a price reduction of flat Rs 10,000 on both – the Speed 400 as well as the Scrambler 400X on the ex-showroom prices. Which means that the new price of Speed 400 will be Rs 2.24 Lakh whereas the X can be had for 2.54 Lakh. This offer is valid for the full month of July 2024.
Apart from these new products, Bajaj has been very eager in expanding Triumph’s dealership base in India since the very beginning. From a humble 15 dealership base during start, these 400s are now available across over 90 dealerships in 70 cities in the country. So, if you could not take advantage of the initial 10k discount on the Speed 400 because the roadster wasn’t available in/near your city, this is your best chance.
