Three days from now, the inhabitants in and around Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh will wake up to the music of 300 V-twin engines as the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), after last month’s Pushkar H.O.G. Rally, is all set to host the third Eastern H.O.G. rally in Khajuraho from the 5th to 7th of December, 2014.
Khajuraho is most famous for its monuments and happens to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Naturally, this edition promises a fascinating experience amidst the rich cultural heritage of India. And this time too, riders from across all 13 H.O.G. Chapters – some from as far as Chennai and Kochi – will ride down to the venue on their Harley-Davidsons.
If you are a H.O.G. fan you would know that these rallies are organized exclusively by and for Harley owners and other than the riding, the events also comprise an exciting line-up of activities for Harley owners and their families. So, the 3rd Eastern H.O.G. Rally will also have a custom motorcycle zone, arm-wrestling competition, workshops on pre-ride motorcycle maintenance, a fusion music night and the signature H.O.G. Custom Contest where owners get to display the creativity, passion, and individualism that they have put into their motorcycles.
The company had opened “Tiger Harley-Davidson”, H-D’s dealership in Indore last year in September, and according to Manish Gupta, Dealer Principal at Tiger H-D 2013, though Madhya Pradesh has always had a great motorcycling culture and terrain, the state has seen the riding culture blossoming rapidly since the opening of Tiger H-D and he welcomes the ever increasing number of Harley owners into the fold. This is the first time the Tiger Chapter is hosting a Zonal H.O.G. Rally, and everyone from the chapter is looking forward to meet fellow Harley owners and to treat them with authentic Madhya Pradesh hospitality.
