At its official social channels, Classic Legends (the owner of Jawa brand) has announced a surprise new model for India on its (Jawas) 90th anniversary. The new motorcycle will be a special edition which will pay tribute to the first Jawa, the 500 OHV.
Jawa informs that this will be a limited edition and it will produce only 90 units of it in total. All these motorcycles will be up for immediate delivery to its customers.
It informs that this motorcycle will be available for people who are already in queue for their Jawas (with booking numbers) or for the ones who make a booking before midnight of 22 October 2019. No further details have been revealed by the brand.
As we wait for more details we believe that the special edition Jawa is talking about could be based on the existing Jawa classic with a new colour theme and 90th anniversary decals, serial number etc, a strategy Royal Enfield popularly follows. Along with this nostalgia, the motorcycle may cost a few thousand more than the standard variant.
Two kind of people are expected to get attracted to this new offering – people tired of waiting for their Jawas and bikers who like exclusivity! Which simply means that the number of bookings for this special edition are likely to cross 90 easily.
Will Jawa conduct a lucky draw or if it has some other plans related to ‘how can someone own the limited edition?” will be revealed in a few hours from now.
